JENNA DIDIER | Principal, Lead Design Engineer

Jenna is in pursuit of a new approach to the built environment. A lifelong interest in the creation and use of public spaces led her to Los Angeles and a career in water feature design and public art. The trajectory of her career begins with the development of technical skills in robotics, engineering, and metal fabrication to create mechanical effects, sculpture, and architectural water features, and has evolved into an active engagement in place-making for communities. She also belongs to the art and technology collaboration, Didier Hess, formed with Oliver Hess in 2004. Didier Hess creates interactive artworks for public places. They discover invisible but powerful forces influencing a site and make them tangible through interactive lighting, fog, water, or mechanical effects. To explore the development of immersive public spaces further, Jenna founded Materials & Applications, a non-profit organization dedicated to pushing forward new and underused building technologies. OLIVER HESS | Designer

Oliver has a wealth of experience and insight into construction in the computational world and real world. His own work leaps between mechanical effects built out of necessity to bring a virtual concept into the built environment, and virtual animated worlds created to bring physical concepts into the expansive algorithmic realm of the digital. Through his work with Didier Hess, Oliver collaborates on large scale permanent public art projects, exploring the transformation of forces to the human scale, to create unique public spaces. Oliver is the co-Director of Materials & Applications, providing visionary ideas for the development of their structure and programming. He is an Instructor at Art Center School of Design.

DANIEL BEAULIEU | Manager, Rainwater Catchment Systems Division

Daniel is an accredited rainwater catchment professional, trained through the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association. He joins Fountainhead with hands-on experience developing off-the-grid water systems in Northern California and integrating elements of rain and storm water capture for both domestic use and non-potable applications. Daniel's goal in developing rain and storm water capture in the larger urban landscape is to seamlessly apply these practices to both private and public spaces. He is also active in projects for Materials & Applications and Didier Hess.

BRIAN JANECZKO | Associate Designer, Project Manager

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Brian was an Associate Designer and Shop Manager at Peter Tolkin Projects before coming to join the team at Fountainhead Design. He is adept at developing construction documents, project management, and building prototypes and models. He often takes the lead in working on projects for the non-profit research-side of our practice, Materials & Applications and contributes to concept development for Didier Hess. He combines his passions for architecture and biking by leading guided bicycle tours in Los Angeles of architectural gems: bikehausla.blogspot.com.
